The Fone Clinic is a Green Achiever
Insurance Claims

We can accept insurance claims from certain insurance companies, if unsure please check your insurance terms and conditions or contact your provider to discuss the repair company they are using. Once your insurance claim has been accepted by your insurance providers, you will receive a repair voucher in the post from them. Send this along with your damaged mobile phone and excess cheque if applicable to the address provided, including any requirements set out by your Insurance providers on the repair voucher. Once authorised to do so, your handset will need to be sent to us by post – please ensure the handset is securely packaged, we recommend Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’ as your method of delivery to The Fone Clinic™ as this will cover you in the eventuality of loss. Note, if this is not completed your phone will be returned to you and a charge will be raised for return carriage.

Once we have received your completed repair voucher and damaged handset, it will be assessed within one to two working days. If we find the handset to be repairable it will be repaired and tested to specification and then returned to you by Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’. This service provides for next day (before 1.00pm) delivery and there will need to be someone at the delivery address to sign for the parcel. Please note on your repair voucher if there is an alternative address the handset can be sent to, which may be more convenient for you. If the handset is not successfully delivered it will be returned to your local post office or sorting office and this may incur a £1.00 handling charge to yourself and require you to arrange collection from there.

If your handset is found to be beyond economical repair, a replacement will be arranged through your insurance providers and this will normally be dispatched to you within three working days. The Fone Clinic™ will not charge for any repairs carried out or return carriage as your insurance excess covers this. We provide you with a three-month warranty on repairs, so in the eventuality that the handset displays the same fault following our repair, The Fone Clinic™ will cover the subsequent re-repair up to three months following the original repair. Please note, this does not apply to new faults, which we recommend you make a fresh claim for with your insurance provider.

If this is the service you require please send your handset with all relevant paperwork to the address provided.

Chargeable Repairs We accept chargeable repairs on any make and model of phone. The handset will need to be sent to us by post securely packaged. We recommend Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’ be used as this will cover you in the eventuality of loss. The Fone Clinic™ will not be liable for any loss or damage of the handset until we are in receipt of the phone. A quote will then be raised which will be relayed to you either by post or telephone call, dependent on the contact information you have supplied. A quote is normally raised within one or two days of receipt, once we have received payment the repair will be completed within one to two days dependent on availability of parts. If however a quote is refused or the handset is beyond economical repair, the handset can either be returned to yourself with a return carriage charge of £8.95, or the handset can be disposed of at our service centre. If you give authorisation for the handset to be environmentally disposed of, there will be no charge and £1.00 will be donated to a children’s charity.

  • We use only highly compatible and/or refurbished spare parts
  • All parts undergo a full and 100% Quality Assurance before they are used
  • The Fone Clinic gives full warranty (3 months) on any highly compatible and/or refurbished spare parts that are used. If components are found to be defective The Fone Clinic will repair or replace these spare parts at no cost

If this is the service you require please complete the repair voucher and forward this with the faulty handset to the address provided.

Sending your phone to The Fone Clinic™

Whatever the current condition of your mobile phone it is important that you package your phone properly for travel, therefore we recommend placing the damaged or dysfunctional mobile in bubble wrap along with your battery and charger. Please do not send your SIM card unless you are requested to do so. We also require the appropriate repair form to be completed and included with your consignment. Click on the links at the top of this page to download the relevant form.

We recommend Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’ for safe and secure travel, as we accept no responsibility for your phone until we have signed for its receipt. Therefore, should you choose to use an alternative method that does not require our acceptance signature on delivery, we are unable to accept responsibility in the event of non-delivery.
